Inspiration Through Art
So, this is a way last minute blog post, as I normally do these in advance to make sure everything is perfect and lined up, but tonight at 1am, I don't care much... I just want to share the good news!
I'm supposed to be already asleep for one, BUT I decided to hop on Facebook (guilty, I know), as I haven't been on much this week. I wanted to catch up around the fb world, and see what everyone has been up to. Well, I log in, and see Inspiration Through Art posted that their application fun had sadly come to an end, which I figured because I was on a couple of days ago, and saw something in regards to applying. I was on my phone, and unfortunately couldn't, and well, I've been so busy this week, I didn't put any thought to it afterward. I figured, I sadly missed out this go round. So of course, when I log in, today, guess who's the first post I see on my newsfeed? Yep, you guessed it! Inspiration Through Art.
Now quick briefing... for those that aren't too familiar with Inspiration Through Art... Basically they are an organization of photographers that give the gift of photography to children and families with serious illnesses or life altering disabilities. Sounds pretty ah-mazing, huh? Yes, amazing enough to want to be apart of!
So, I log on to fb and see their post announcing they are now accepting applications for next year's photographers. Of course, I immediately send in my application. I browse through the site, and tears fill my eyes. What an amazing experience. So humbling, and just such a blessing. For me, I am a giver at heart, and there is no greater feeling than to give back. If I could really be Santa and give all the kiddos of the world a toy on Christmas Eve, I would so do it in a heartbeat, and then I wouldn't know when to stop. My heart overflows with joy and happiness when I give, and I can't imagine that not being in my nature ("The Five Love Languages" says so, and I believe so after reading about it).
Anywho! Enough about me. Inspiration Through Art kindly and so generously accepted my application! I'm so eager to get started and to experience... oh to experience! Okay, back to me real quick... I so desperately wanted to head out on a mission trip with my church this year, but circumstances didn't allow, and I think this is my own personal mission trip from God. This is where He is sending me. I praise Him! I praise Him!
I'll be updating about my working with Inspiration Through Art, and I hope you guys will join and support me during this exciting new time and opportunity!
ps. Stay tuned tomorrow for Casting Calls!
Love, Dreams, and Inspiration,
