New Month. New Beginnings.

I have a mad obsession with the holidays.  I love the weather, the colors, and most importantly, I love getting together with my family.  I love the thankfulness than surrounds and just embodies the entire month of November.  It truly is a beautiful month with beautiful happenings.

I have decided to share my own personal thankfulness everyday during the week, with you all.  I already have a list made, but somehow I know it may get altered as the month progresses, and as I grow in faith, love, and obedience to the Lord.  Some images may be apparent in what I am thankful for, while some may be an interpretation.  Either way, I'm excited to share bits and pieces of my life with you all this month.  And I encourage you to do the same as I would LOVE for you to share what you are thankful for each day, or even each week.  You don't have to go into detail, but I'm asking that you take some time out of your day each day this month, and think of something you are grateful for.  Write it down, start a journal, comment here, or even leave a picture of what you're thankful for on my FB fanpage! <<<----- This would make my heart smile.

We are getting closer to the holidays, and sometimes, when that happens, the bills pile up, while the Christmas lists pile on.  It can be stressful to try and please (and check off) both, but even then, we have a God who's grace is sufficient enough.  Who will provide exactly what we need.

As my walk with Christ furthers, I have began to realize its not about the material things in life; its about the eternal things in life, and that's our place in Heaven with our Lord.  This year, I want to focus more on God's blessings, and not the "blessings" of this world.  I want to focus on His LOVE, and not the love (or approval) of man.  I want to drown myself in His presence and appreciate what each day has to offer.

TODAY, I am thankful for my FAITH. 

Some may follow my personal blog, some may not, but really, you should be. ha.  Okay, you don't have to, but I love readers.  I have somewhat of a {natural} crazy life, and I enjoy sharing it with others.  Its just TOO crazy not to.  Yesterday, I announced a bit more crazy goodness that will soon be making its arrival.

I am pregnant.

 

We planned for Cupcake, and we prayed and prayed for God to bless us with a new baby, something for a couple of years, now, I didn't think we deserved (this is an entirely different post).  We've had many up's and downs, and at the time, it seemed like more down's than up's.  I felt like our marriage was too premature for another baby, and the timing just wasn't right.  My husband and I began to pray together, and God quickly opened doors.  We began to see Him move in and throughout our home and in our marriage, and He finally put it on our heart, "It is time." We soon began to pray for God's will to be done in our lives, our marriage, and in our home.  

We prayed for a baby.  And last Wednesday, our prayers were answered.  We are humbled, and incredibly thankful, and beyond gracious!  Words cannot express nor convey our excitement! 

Thank you, Lord, for loving us just as we are!  For your GRACE!  Your beautiful grace!  We are not worthy, Lord, but you, YOU ARE!  Let this new chapter in our lives be a living testimony to the great and awesome God that you are!  Use us to do the works of Your Kingdom.  From the mountain tops, we will sing and shout Your name! Amen.

We are due in early July of 2012.  <3

Beach Mini | Carrasco Family

Meet the Carrasco Family!  You may remember Karen from EmmaLove Boutique; she's the co-founder and mastermind behind the creative goodness.  We've worked together on a good handful of shoots, and I know that if I ever need something sassy and cute, I can run to her, because sadly I can't even sew a button. hehe

Anywho, this session was more laid back.  No posing or direction of posing.  It was just the Carrasco's, the beach, and my camera just happened to be there.  So care-free!  So loving!  So REAL.

Beach Mini's | Bocanegra Family

Last weekend, we took a trip to Galveston, TX, to get in some Beach Mini's!  They were superrrr fun!! I can't wait to do these again!  I had a blast with everyone!  Especially with this next family...

It was Brian's very first time to the beach, and oh wow!  He absolutely LOVED it!!  I was so honored to be apart of this "first time" experience!  As a mother, I know its always a joy to experience "first timers" with my baby girl!  It just brings a smile to your face and such warmth to your heart... you never forget it!  And now, the Bocanegra's will never forget this first time to the beach with Bryan!

Back 2 School | Special!

Its the time again!  Summer vacation is over, and its back to school!

Although my baby has another full year before she attends kindergarten in a public school, I'd like to extend this BACK 2 SCHOOL special!  This special is for ANY portrait session; doesn't have to necessarily be family portraits, but it can also be Senior portraits, maternity, and yes, even boudoir {does not credit towards Oh So Lovely Boudoir Marathon}.  With the government making huge spending cuts, and our children's education being one of them, now more than ever, we as parents and a community need to join forces and be involved.  We need to be there for our schools, our teachers, and most importantly, we need to be there for our children, who are our future!

I'd like to wish all the students and teachers a SUPER DUPER AWESOME 1st Day of School, tomorrow! Not to mention, a STUPENDOUS 2011-2012 school year!  Also, thank you TEACHERS, for doing what you do!!  We appreciate you more than you know!

As some of you know, I am a sister of not one, but four!  Yes four.  I adore them all, and adore the fact that I can go to them for anything.  They are my best friends, and I couldn't imagine life without them.  The love sisters share is so unique, and there is nothing like it.  Secrets, tag-teaming, boys, and fun!  No matter where you are or what trouble you're in, you can always count on your sister to be there with open arms (and possibly laughing at you).

Fine Print:

-You don't have to be blood sisters. (I have very close friends whom I consider sisters.)

-No age requirements.  I find that as we grow older, our bond grows stronger.  Is your mother a sister?  This might be the perfect gift for her!

-Session is up to 5 sisters. Please add $25 for each additional sister.

-7.25% is required to be collected on all orders including session fee. 

-In order to book your Sisterly Love Mini session, the session fee is due in full.  The session is not booked until PayPal payment has been made.  If payment has not been made within 24 hours of receiving session, Casey reserves the right to schedule your slot to another client.  Session fee is non-refundable.

- $50 print credit is towards prints only.  Boutique products are offered at a separate price. There is no trading for different products. Same with the complimentary 8x10 print.

New 2011 Pricing!

Some people, okay... a lot of people would say this is bad business, however, sometimes, you have to take a step back and start from the beginning in order to get where you ultimately want to be.  DreamTree Photography has been around for over a year now, and I've had the pleasure of meeting some amazing people, many of whom, I now call, friends.  I've had the pleasure of capturing many wonderful and exciting moments in each of their lives!  I've also had the pleasure of growing not only as a creative being, but as an individual as well.  I am so very very grateful for all that I've experienced while running my own business.

I want to grow even more, and I want to do even more.  More than I've done in the past, in order to welcome the future of DreamTree.

My style is taking on new terms, and a new feel.   However, my creative brain is about to explode with all that I want incorporate into DreamTree! I hardly know what to do with myself, these days! I'm just full of pure excitement and eagerness to get things going!



With that said, all sessions booked from today and until December 1, 2012, will be discounted, and will rate as follows:

** To share with your family and friends, receive a complimentary CD with Screen Resolution Images when you purchase $500 or more on prints. **

*Location Fees:  Session fee does not include entrance fee or permit fees if your shoot location requires either.  If either is required, you must provide for the photographer and one assistant if applicable.

*Additional $65 is applicable to locations 15 miles outside of 77379.

There is a minimum print order of $100 on all orders.  (print order does NOT include other products).  7.25% sales tax is required to be collected on all orders.

For each client you refer, receive $25 off your next session!  If you book 3 clients, receive a 20% off of your entire print order!  And if you book 5 clients, receive your session for free! But, they key is they must  book a session (excludes mini sessions)!  When your referred clients book, they will receive a complimentary set of wallets as a thanks to them!

Christmas in July!

 Christmas is literally just around the corner! Eeek! I know, that frightens me, too!  But I don't know about you, but I'm super excited to welcome and embrace the upcoming holiday season! It is my most favorite time of the year! Family, friends, joy, peace, love, hope!  

I've had quite a few inquiries regarding Christmas Session for the 2011 season, and figured why not go ahead and get the ball rolling?

Addison Logan | Part I

I had the awesomely awesome pleasure of working with local dog fashion designer, Jeanna Stone of Addison Logan.  She contacted me wanting to get together and get some new eye candy up on her soon to be new website! I, lover of all dogs, didn't even think twice to saying, "Yes!"

We set out Tuesday evening as the sun was setting, and ohhh was it gorgeous! Jeanna rounded up some of her close friends, clients, and their furry babies, and we had ourselves a dogg'on blast!
