It's a Macro Thing

Long story short, this entire week, I have a Nikon 60mm 1.8 in my hands.  Never, have I ever shot with a macro/micro lens, so this is a whole new world to me. New enough to know I must.have.this.lens.  I wish I could have more time this week to fiddle around with it some more, but I figure some is better than none. 

I took these shots of my brand new Inspiration journal.  The other somehow turned into a to-do list, and notes about whatever, and with me being self diagnosed OCD and all, the two must stay separate.  Plus, this one is so much more fab. hehe

For those wondering what an inspiration journal is... A notebook to write down every bit of inspiration that crosses your mind... colors, light, feelings, snippets of ideas... really, anything your heart flutters to your brain. I'd def say I would recommend this to anyone... not just creative beings, because honestly, I think we all have a little creative vein floating inside of us.  But to anyone who thinks a thought.  Try it out, and you'd be surprised at how creative you really are!  You never know what it might turn into! A publication, perhaps? =D

Btw... I guess with me being new to the tiny tiny world of detail, the idea of taking a "full" shot kinda just skipped my mind. haha So excuse that mistake... I'm sure somewhere down the line, you'll eventually see a full shot of my journal either in person, or in some future random snapshot.
