San Antonio & Hearts

L.O.V.E San Antonio!  So much history and culture! And well, just being there makes you automatically crave a yummy margarita, and that's one of the top 3 goodies San Antonio is know for!

Hubby, Jr, and I took a nice little vacation to San Antonio.  We were there for about a full day, and we had lots of fun!  I debated on carrying my camera with, only because I wanted to enjoy the vacation from my own personal point of view, rather than the camera's, BUT I decided to pack it along anyway, and snap a few shots of our trip.

Enjoy!

Road trip!  Jr driving, and I, smiling. haha  That's usually how it works! I, however, did drive back to Houston.  We took my sweet little Smart Car, and after this trip, never again.  No cruise control = a sore right leg and aching knees. Also, Jr forgot his very much needed sunglasses at home.  He thought, he'd be golden without them... I mean, it was only for the weekend.  But after a last minute decision stop to the San Marcos Outlets, and him tripping over the curb after being blinded by the sun, we decided he needed some sunglasses, asap. haha Those pictured above, are my sister's glasses, whom I borrowed from, and never returned, or wore for that matter. LOL  Needless to say, the entire trip to San Marcos, I was wishing my tint was a littleeee bit darker. =P

Arrived in San Antonio, waited for our hotel, traveled the mall (and to everyone's surprise, I walked out empty handed lol) Took some snap shots and , and went on our merry way! Btw.
Jr's glasses, for all the guys or gals wondering: http://www.oakley.com/products/6469/23885

Ahhh, San An!  How we love you, and your city view!  We stayed at the Marriott  Riverwalk. This particular hotel sat directly on the Riverwalk, and looked directly over it. Breathtaking!  ps. We stayed on the 26th floor. Last time we stayed, we cozied up the 29th.  I, however, enjoyed this straight on view MUCH better!  Hubby was just glad we were a bit closer to the ground. haha

Earlier, while waiting for our hotel, we enjoyed the toasty 70+ degree weather. Yes, I said, "toasty". Part of me is from the south, and all of me enjoys 50+ degree temperatures.  The second we arrived at the hotel, hubbs called baby girl to say hello.  She had insisted on calling me all day instead. haha  Funny how you and hubby need a break "from it all", all the while missing your little heart of smiles at home.   -- Last shot:  Jr looking GQ. haha  Gotta love the man!

The Night Life.

San Antonio is normally not THIS busy, but that particular weekend, they had some school conferences going on.  After a little elevator talk, dodging large instruments, and doing matrix moves in order to avoid the flamboyant flipping of ponytails, we found out there were about 25,000 extra people in San Antonio that weekend - all high-schoolers. Just our luck. haha

So there ya have it!!
Next vacation, I promise to get a little more snap happy! One of my goals these next few months is to learn how to take pictures on a fly. I'm a perfectionist, and I don't consider any other mode other than "Manual" to be apart of my camera. haha Its a great learning process for me, because I fiddle less and less with my settings while shooting, however, when it comes time for perfection to hit the road, I'm a lonely button masher. LOL

Casey
